Our Roots Run Deep in our Heritage and Agriculture

The Meaning of Glen Innish

The word Gleann (which is the base for Glen) in Gaelic means ~  a long, low valley, pastoral rolling hills, a resting place.

The word Innis (the base for Innish) in Gaelic means ~ by water or of the river.

We have used the English versions of the words to give our farm the name "Glen Innish Farm" - meaning a pastoral resting place by the water.

The Symbols of our Logo

The Celtic 5 Fold - the 4 outside circles represent Earth, Air, Water, Fire - the 5th Circle (center) represents our spirit connects to the 4 elements and how we interact with the world around us  strive to create a space where farmers and consumers can connect.

The wave of our logo is a representation of Simon’s New Zealand roots and heritage. In New Zealand culture, waves represent a place of rest and tradition.
